Most manufacturers install the ODBll port in the same location on all of their Models; however, a different year and model than the photos shown could possibly be a different location. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual or contact the manufacturer if you cannot locate the ODBll port in your vehicle. Audi Models TT, S5, A3, A4, A5, A6, Q5, and Q7 Years 2001-2010 have been verified to have the ODBll Port in the same location, under the dash, left of the steering wheel - location 1 on the diagram below. Audi Models 97-2000 may have the ODBll port located on the center console near the shift - location 4 on the diagram below. The ODBll Port in Audi models is purple in color.

Technical Help

Please note that this database may not include all newer model years. The VehSmart OBD Device will still work on these vehicles. We are in the process of constantly updating our databases to include the locations and images for all vehicles. Check your vehicle’s owner's manual or contact your local dealership to request your vehicle’s OBD port location if you cannot locate it.

Some manufacturers (e.g. Ford, BMW, Mercedes) cover the OBD Port with a rubber or plastic cover. The cover must be removed before connecting the VehSMart device.
